Night at the Museum

So much to do in Washington DC!
To the hotel and into their first cab ride...

First stop was the Nationals game. Cool park with lots of unhealthy food. We had some happy boys getting to see their favorite player, Bryce Harper.
The kids really wanted to see the White House. Every white building we passed "is THAT the White House??!!" So after the game we went to see it. Reid wanted to know how long it took Barak to mow that big lawn.  :)

Day two - The Smithsonian
We went to the Air and Space Museum first. It was really crowded and the kids weren't convinced any of it was real. Jace really just wanted to see the Night at the Museum building so we only stayed here for about an hour and then had a Popsicle break.

Final stop was the Museum of Natural History. Everyone warned us that this one was kind of boring but I could have spent the entire day there. The building is so pretty and very nerdy/sciency. It was fun to see the dinosaurs that came to life in Night at the Museum. The kids were pretty much over pictures at this point and pretty tired by the time we were done. This has been one of my favoite stops so far on the trip.
I would go back to DC. There was so much we didn't have time to see-Lincoln memorial, National Zoo...

Now we are just tired and headed back to Pittsburg to hang out with family before we head to Canada tomorrow.

Jace has learned how to speak in the most annoying song voice ever in the car and Reid has mastered the "are we there yet?"  With only one real meltdown, the first week has gone really well and I have survived 1811 miles in the car with 3 boys.
