Happy 4th!

Chicago is one of my favorite towns. I would want to live there if it weren't for the winters....or so far from my mom. :)

It was fun to meet up with Tommy and Catherine for dinner on Lake Michigan. We saw 3 of the 5 Great Lakes on this trip, which my nerdy side thinks is super cool. The kids got to ride the water taxi, which they were really impressed by.

We went down to Navy Pier and spent lots of time trying to dodge seagull poop. We found a place on the lake for dinner so they kids could play at the beach.

On the 4th, we went to Lincoln Park Zoo and the Cubs game. The zoo was fun, but their favorite part was the incredibly overpriced "tattoos" they needed for the game.

The Cubs game was so fun. Reid getting to see his favorite player (Kris Bryant) hit a grand slam was the best part of the night. After the game they had a fireworks show and in an attempt to get a cleared out place to see better we lost Chris. I turned around and he was gone. Normally it would t be a big deal but his phone was dead and he has our subway passes to get back to the hotel and all of our money.  Thankfully he found us but it was a little stressful for about 10 minutes.
